New Sharon United Methodist Church

Where Friends Become Family

These are a few of the questions we hear most frequently from guests and new members. If you have other questions that aren't answered here, please don't hesitate to contact us at

When should I attend worship?

We offer an 8am traditional worship service and a 10am contemporary worship service.

You can learn more about this service at our worship schedule page.

What about my kids? Is there a place for them?

Of course! Kids and youth of all ages, from infant through high school, have somewhere to belong and grow in Christ at NSUMC.

Infants and children up to three years old may be cared for at our nursery center on Sunday mornings with well-trained supervision staff.

We have Sunday school for children ages kindergarten through sixth grade each Sunday at 9:15am. For parents who attend Sunday school and have children who are under kindergarten age, we offer a supervised nursery during Sunday school.

We also have a wide variety of ministries for children, and the youth department always has something going on!

How should I dress?

You will find a wide variety of dress in any of our services – jeans to ties are equally welcome.

Do I need to be a member to get involved?

We welcome all who would choose to be in ministry through the many opportunities offered at NSUMC. This truly is a place where you can make a difference.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing! The church is not a club with dues. Membership at NSUMC is about developing a deeper commitment to/with a community of faith. We expect that this process will involve a commitment to prayer, presence, gifts, service, and witness.

What do you believe?

Please check out our “What We Believe” page to learn more about our theology.

I have other questions. Who do I ask?

Please contact our pastor or office and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have by emailing us at
