Worship Service

Joyful, grateful worship to God is the heart of our Christian faith and the center of life together at New Sharon United Methodist Church. If you are a first-time guest to our church, we  just want to remind you that all of our services are friendly and relaxed. You can make friends and feel comfortable at NSUMC! 

8:00AM Traditional Worship Service 

Our 8:00 Traditional Worship Service is typically an hour-long formal worship with piano and organ music, some liturgy, hymns from The United Methodist Hymnal, and a message shared by our pastor. 

After the service, we invite you to join us in the Worship Center basement for coffee, lemonade and often-times some other snacks. We are a United Methodist congregation, after all!

10:30AM Contemporary Worship Service

Our 10:30 Contemporary Worship Service is generally a 60-70 minutes long service that includes praise songs and music by our outstanding praise band. The service also includes prayers and a message from our pastor. The dress is informal and the environment is joyful and uplifting.  

For both services, we have free parking available as well as handicapped parking and seating. 

9:15AM Sunday School and Adult Life Groups

Sunday School is offered for ages 3 years through adults. Our Sunday School program begins with fellowship time at 9:00am with classes beginning at 9:15am to 10:15am. Childcare is also available at all services in our qualified staff-led and well-eqiuppied nursery, for children aged six months - three.

Communion Service

Communion Service is typically held the first Sunday of each month during the 8AM and 10:30AM services and also on special Sundays throughout the year. As United Methodists, we believe that the Lord's Table is open to everyone.
